I work at Oregon State University doing communications and outreach for the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences.

I co-chair the City of Philomath’s Inclusivity Committee and am a member of the Philomath Pride leadership team. I have also served on the City of Philomath Budget Committee, gone through the Philomath Citizens Academy, and sit on OSU's President's Commission on the Status of Women.

Meet Amanda

I grew up in a small town and never thought I'd want to live in one again. My wife and I chose this town because it was a place we could actually afford to buy a house, and I knew immediately that Philomath was different from any town I’d ever lived in. Our neighbors weren’t just strangers that lived in the houses next to ours, they were our community members and people that have become lifelong friends.

Philomath is small but mighty. We step up and support each other, whether you’re one house over, just down the street, or on the other side of town. Almost five years later, Philomath is the place that I feel so grateful to call home.

My Promise

I will bring the skills that I have learned throughout my career into the council chamber to advocate for the community of Philomath. Residents should feel empowered to engage with their elected officials. We are the heart and soul of this city, and I promise to bring our voices into every room that I am in.
